Woman Killed in Porterville Pedestrian Crash on Highway 190
Porterville, California (July 29, 2021) – A woman was struck and killed by a vehicle in Porterville on Thursday morning, according to the Porterville Police Department.
The incident happened on Highway 190 shortly before 5 a.m.
Police said a 43-year-old woman exited her vehicle and was trying to walk southbound on the highway when she was hit by an eastbound vehicle.

Police provided aid to the victim before the medics arrived and transported the victim to hospital. The woman died of her injuries at the hospital.
The driver, a 51-year-old man, remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
Police said alcohol and drugs were not suspected in the accident.
The crash is under investigation.
