Brett Evo ID’d as Pilot Killed in Truckee Plane Crash near Ponderosa Golf Course
Truckee, California (July 29, 2021) – Brett Evo of Coachella was one of six people killed in a plane crash on Monday afternoon in Truckee, according to a local news source.
The deadly wreck occurred near the Ponderosa Golf Course just after 1 p.m. on Monday, July 26.
The plane was identified as a Bombardier CL 600 jet which was heading to Truckee Tahoe Airport from Coeur d’ Alene in Idaho. Evo was one of the pilots attempting to land at the California airport when they crashed into a wooded area near the airport.
Brett Evo Among Victims of Deadly Truckee Plane Crash
The plane burst into flames and caused a small brushfire, which was extinguished by the responding firefighters.
All six people on board died in the wreck. Three other victims of the wreck were identified as Kevin Kvarnlov, Ryan and Kristin Thomas. The identities of two other victims have not been released.
The cause of the wreck remains under investigation.
