Man Killed in Oakland Bicycle Accident on 580 Freeway near State Route 24
Oakland, California (July 31, 2021) – A bicyclist died after being hit by two cars in Oakland on Friday night, July 30.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on eastbound Interstate Highway 580 near the State Route 24 connector at about 10:02 p.m.
A man was riding a bicycle in the third lane just west of W. MacArthur Boulevard when he was struck by two vehicles.
The unidentified man was killed in the accident.
A section of the freeway was temporarily closed as the authorities examined the scene.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
