Santa Ana, California (July 31, 2021) – One person was killed and another was hospitalized following an early Saturday morning traffic crash in Santa Ana, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The deadly collision, which involved at least two vehicles, happened at around 3:20 a.m. on the southbound side of the Santa Ana (5) Freeway at 17th Street.

The CHP said a Honda Pilot and possibly a Mitsubishi were involved in the crash. Details on what led up to the collision at this time are unknown.
