Victorino Mendoza-Alvarado ID’d as Man Killed in Vista Pedestrian Accident on East Vista Way near Townsite Drive
Vista, California (November 27, 2019) – The pedestrian who was struck and killed by a car on a Vista street last Tuesday morning has been identified as Victorino Mendoza-Alvarado, 63, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office.
The deadly accident took place at around 5:45 a.m. November 19, on East Vista Way near Townsite Drive.
Authorities said Mendoza-Alvarado was crossing East Vista Way outside of a crosswalk when he was hit by a vehicle that was traveling northbound.

Mendoza-Alvarado was transported to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The 42-year-old driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with authorities. The authorities said neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected factors in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
