Troy Woods Killed in Midway District Pedestrian Crash near Sports Arena Boulevard and Kemper Street
San Diego, California (February 14, 2020) – A man died after he was struck by a vehicle at a parking lot in the Midway District last week on Wednesday, according to police.
The crash happened at The Home Depot off Sports Arena Boulevard and Kemper Street just after 4 p.m. February 5.
Police said the pedestrian walked in front of a Toyota Prius at the parking lot and was hit.

The victim, identified as 57-year-old Troy Alan Woods, was rushed to UC San Diego Medical Center in Hillcrest with life-threatening internal injuries and was pronounced deceased at about 4:30 p.m. February 7.
The driver, an 80-year-old man, remained at the scene.
Police said speed, alcohol, and drugs were not suspected to be factors in the crash.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
