Man Critically Injured in East Hollywood Hit-and-Run Accident at Virgil Avenue and Clinton Street

East Hollywood, California (February 11, 2021) – A tow truck driver was critically injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver Saturday night at an intersection in East Hollywood, according to a local news source.
The accident happened just after 8:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6 at the intersection of Virgil Avenue and Clinton Street, police said.
According to the authorities, a vehicle was heading southbound on Virgil Street when it hit a 46-year-old tow truck driver who was standing in the roadway taking pictures of a vehicle.
The man sustained severe blunt force trauma injuries and was transported to a hospital where he was listed in critical condition. His name has not been disclosed, but the authorities identified him as Gustavo.
The involved driver did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the scene. There was no description of the suspect’s vehicle or the driver.
Authorities are still searching for the hit-and-run suspect.
