Woman Killed in Campbell Car Accident on 880 Freeway Near Hamilton Avenue ID’d as Theresa Saechao
Campbell, California (January 23, 2020) – 30-year-old Theresa Saechao of San Jose has been identified as the female victim killed in a wrong-way car crash in Campbell last week on Friday morning, according to the Santa Clara County coroner’s office.
The fatal collision occurred at around 3:20 a.m. on January 17, on the 880 Freeway near Coleman Avenue.
As per the California Highway Patrol report, Saechao was driving a Honda Accord south in the northbound lanes of I-880 in San Jose when she collided head-on with a Toyota shortly after I-880 turns into Highway 17, near Hamilton Avenue in Campbell.
The Honda was sent off into the right shoulder of the highway and the Toyota in the median upon the impact.

Saechao died in the accident. The Toyota operator sustained significant injuries, including broken bones, and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Officials initially claimed that they smelled alcohol in the Saechao Honda Accord.
Meanwhile, the cause of the traffic collision remains under an active investigation.
