Jason Gordon Identified as Person Killed in Sherman Heights Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Market Street

Sherman Heights, California (January 23, 2020) – 41-year-old Jason Gordon of San Diego has been identified as the pedestrian killed in a hit-and-run collision early Sunday morning in Sherman Heights, San Diego.
According to the CHP officials, the deadly crash occurred at about 1:50 a.m. Sunday, January 19, in the 1800 block of Market Street, between East Village and Sherman Heights.
As per the report, a 2008 GMC Envoy driven by 28-year-old Christopher was heading eastbound on Market Street when he hit Gordon. The Envoy dragged Gordon about 100 feet following the crash.

Gordon was declared dead at the crash site.
Officials Nunez did not stop after the accident but he drove eastbound and stopped to order food at Humberto’s Taco Shop, located less than a mile away from the accident scene.
As Nunez was exiting the taco shop, he crashed into a sedan. Two women confronted the suspect before he fled.
Nunez was later located by police and arrested. He was booked into County Jail on felony hit-and-run charges.
The incident remains under investigation.
