2 Hospitalized after Sutter County Truck Crash on Highway 99 at Sankey Road
Sutter County, California (March 30, 2019) – At least one person suffered major injuries in a traffic crash that involved multiple vehicles in Sutter County Friday morning.
The multi-car accident was reported at around 7:00 a.m. March 29, on Highway 99 at Sankey Road.
As per the report, a silver Chevrolet sedan, a white Ford pickup, a dark sedan, a big rig dump truck, and a pickup truck were all involved in the pile-up. The big rig truck reportedly caught fire at the scene of the accident.
One Airlifted after Sutter County Crash
One victim sustained burn injuries following the wreck. The patient was taken to UC Davis Medical Center by air ambulance. Another involved party suffered a minor head injury and was hospitalized at Sutter Roseville Medical Center. The other involved parties received treatment at the site of the accident.
The accident resulted in traffic delays, CHP reported. Meanwhile, the authorities are collecting more information to determine why the crash happened.
