Marilyn Gorman Sustains Minor Injuries in Fresno School Bus Crash on Highway 99 near Ashlan Avenue
Fresno, California (March 29, 2019) – One person was injured late Thursday night in a head-on crash in central Fresno, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened just before 11:00 p.m. Thursday, March 28 on Highway 99, just south of Ashlan Avenue.
The CHP said Dianne R. Bell of Little Rock, Arkansas, was following another bus when she drove her a 2019 Thomas school bus south onto northbound 99 from the Golden State Boulevard off-ramp.
The Thomas school bus then collided head-on with a 2008 Ford F-150 that was traveling northbound on Highway 99.
Minor Injury Crash on Highway 99 in Fresno
The driver of the Ford, Marilyn Gorman, of Bakersfield, was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Bell was injured in the wreck.
The area where the crash occurred is near a construction zone near California’s high-speed rail project.
Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the crash. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
