Stockton, California (July 23, 2021) – A Stockton accident involving a motorcycle Wednesday night sent one person to the hospital.

The major injury crash was reported at approximately 10:20 p.m. on the Interstate 5 Freeway, just south of Downing Avenue.

As per the California Highway Patrol report, a rider was hit by a dark-colored sedan on the northbound side of the freeway for reasons still under investigation.

Due to the impact, the motorcyclist was ejected while the bike ended up crashing into the median.

Stockton Motorcycle Accident

The rider sustained major injuries, including right-hand shoulder wounds, following the accident. The unidentified victim received first aid treatment from paramedics before being rushed to an area hospital for medication.

Details regarding the involved motorist were not immediately established at the report time.

The crash resulted in the closure of the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 for an unknown time.

Authorities are still investigating to determine the cause of the accident.
