Driver Injured in Simi Valley Bus Crash on Highway 118 at Stearns Street

Simi Valley, California (December 19, 2019) – A driver was injured Thursday morning in a multi-vehicle accident involving a passenger bus on Highway 118 in Simi Valley, according to a local news source.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol report, the crash was reported at about 11:45 a.m. on the westbound Highway 118 at Stearns Street.
As per the CHP report, the accident involved a Ventura County Transportation Commission bus, a Chevrolet Silverado pickup and a Ford Focus. Details of what led up to the crash are unknown at this time.

Authorities said only two people, including the driver, were aboard the Ventura County Transportation Commission bus. As a result of the crash , the driver complained of pain but was not transported to a hospital.
The pickup sustained major front-end damage and the Focus had front- and rear-end damage.
The northbound onramp from Stearns to the 118 was closed for several hours while the authorities waited for a tow truck for the bus. The ramp was expected to reopen at around 4:00 p.m.
No other details about the crash were given.
The CHP is investigating the crash.
