Motorcyclist Suffers Serious Injuries in Shelltown Accident at Osborne Street and Marine View Avenue

Shelltown, California (July 3, 2021) – A 32-year-old male rider was hospitalized with serious injuries after being involved in a traffic collision Friday afternoon in the Shelltown neighborhood, Southeast San Diego.
The major injury crash happened in the area of Osborne Street and Marine View Avenue at approximately 12:15 p.m.
The accident began when, for undetermined reasons, a Nissan Cube directly pulled in front of a Kawasaki motorcycle ridden by the 32-year-old man north on Osborn Street approaching Marine View Avenue.
In the process, the motorcyclist crashed with the Nissan in the afternoon hours.
Due to the impact, the rider was pinned under the vehicle and had to be rescued by firefighters.
Major Injury Shelltown Accident
The man sustained major injuries, including a broken left femur in the crash. Paramedics attended to the unidentified victim before rushing him to an area hospital for further medical aid.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
