Paso Robles, California (June 3, 2021) – Christopher Winters, 32, was arrested following a hit-and-run accident that left a pedestrian dead early Saturday morning in Paso Robles, according to the Paso Robles Police Department.

The collision occurred on Meadowlark Road near Deer Springs Drive at around 2 a.m. 

Police received a report of a collision involving a pedestrian in the Meadowlark Road Farms area.

The victim had been hit by a gray vehicle that fled from the scene heading east on Meadowlark Road.

The pedestrian was then run over by a dark colored BMW that also left the scene.

Authorities said the pedestrian, only identified as a 22-year-old man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Christopher Winters Arrested after Deadly Paso Robles Hit-And-Run Crash

The authorities later located a BMW believed to be involved in the accident in the 900 block of Running Stag Way. Winters, who was driving the BMW, was arrested and booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail on charges of hit-and-run causing death. 

Winters’ bail was set at $50,000.

Police are conducting a search for the other involved motorist.
