Three Injured in Santa Barbara Crash on Highway 154 near San Antonio Creek Road
Santa Barbara, California (January 13, 2019) – Three people were injured in a head-on crash early Sunday morning in Santa Barbara, according to the authorities.
The incident was reported at about 1:38 a.m. on Highway 154 north of San Antonio Creek Road.
The authorities said two cars collided head-on and one of them caught fire. The second car trapped two occupants inside. The Santa Barbara Fire Department responded to the incident and assisted the two people out of the car.
The driver of the first car was able to get out of the vehicle before it caught fire.
All three patients sustained major injuries and were taken to Cottage Hospital.
The crash caused a closure of Highway 154 as the scene was cleared.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
