24-Year-Old Man Injured in Costa Mesa Bicycle Accident on Fairview Road near Adams Avenue
Costa Mesa, California (January 13, 2019) – A 24-year-old man riding a bicycle was struck and injured by a police vehicle late Friday night in Costa Mesa.
The incident occurred around 11:18 p.m. Friday, January 12 on Fairview Road just north of Adams Avenue.
The authorities said a marked police vehicle was traveling northbound on Fairview Road when it hit the rider.
The victim was treated at the scene and then he was transported to a trauma center. The extent of the victim’s injuries was unknown.
Police said the officer involved was unhurt.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
