2 Killed, 4 Hospitalized after Santa Barbara Crash on Highway 101
Santa Barbara, California (July 15, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Thursday morning traffic accident that killed two people and left four other parties injured on the Gaviota Coast, west of the Goleta Valley in Santa Barbara.
The deadly two-vehicle accident transpired at about 8:00 a.m. on Highway 101.
According to the California Highway Patrol, two vehicles collided on the roadway in unclear circumstances.
Sadly, two people sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
Four other parties were critically injured in the collision and were taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment.
Traffic on the roadway was stopped for an unknown period due to the crash.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
