Lassen County, California (July 15, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a major injury Doyle car crash that occurred early Thursday morning in Lassen County.

The California Highway Patrol said the wreck was reported at around 3:26 a.m. on Highway 395 near mile marker 12.2.

The report said two vehicles collided for unknown reasons.

A driver of one of the cars was possibly trapped inside the vehicle, and a female party was blocking the No. 2 lane and was crying.

Emergency crews who responded to the scene requested an air ambulance to airlift at least one person who sustained major injuries to the hospital.

CHP is investigating the collision to determine the cause of the crash.
