Santa Barbara, California (January 21, 2021) – One person was injured in a single-vehicle accident on Thursday afternoon in Santa Barbara, authorities said.
The accident happened at about 1:00 p.m. on Harris Grade Road, about halfway between Lompoc and Highway 101.
According to the officials, a vehicle crashed down an embankment off the side of the road in unclear circumstances.
Following the collision, the driver was trapped in the vehicle and was extricated by the first responders.

The driver sustained moderated injuries in the accident.
According to the California Highway Patrol, alcohol intoxication was a factor in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
