Man, 61, Killed in San Ysidro Pedestrian Accident on East San Ysidro Boulevard
San Ysidro, California (November 1, 2020) – A 61-year-old man was hit and killed by a vehicle Friday afternoon in San Ysidro, a local news source reported.
The deadly crash happened on East San Ysidro Boulevard just east of Virginia Avenue at about 2:00 p.m. October 30.
The accident happened when the man exited a business on East San Ysidro Boulevard and stepped into the traffic lanes while crossing the street.
The man then tripped and fell facedown onto the asphalt before running over by a Cadillac Escalade that was exiting a nearby parking lot.
Fatal San Ysidro Pedestrian Collision Friday Afternoon
The unidentified man died in the accident.
It was not mentioned whether the involved driver, a 40-year-old man, was injured following the mishap.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
