55-Year-Old San Mateo Man Killed in Millbrae Accident on Highway 101 near Millbrae Avenue

Millbrae, California (October 31, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Thursday night motorcycle accident that killed a 55-year-old San Mateo man in Millbrae.
The deadly accident happened at about 9:30 p.m., on October 29, on Highway 101 near Millbrae Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by the 55-year-old San Mateo man, was headed southbound on the highway when it failed to negotiate a sweeping right curve.
Unfortunately, the motorcycle crashed head-on into a concrete k-rail, and the rider was ejected onto the westbound Millbrae Avenue on-ramp to Highway 101 southbound.

The San Mateo man was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Drugs or alcohol were not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
