San FranciscoCalifornia (March 3, 2021) – A San Francisco accident that happened Tuesday afternoon sent a female pedestrian to the hospital, the San Francisco Police Department said.

The suspected hit-and-run pedestrian accident was reported in the area of Mission Street and Geneva Avenue just before 12:53 p.m.

The woman was struck by a vehicle while walking at the intersection, in the Outer Mission neighborhood, under unclear circumstances.

Meanwhile, the involved motorist fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim, who sustained major injuries.

The pedestrian, whose name was not released, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

The accident remains under investigation by the San Francisco police.
