Person Killed in San Francisco Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 80 Incline on Bay Bridge near Bryant Street

San Francisco, California (January 8, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle late Monday night in San Francisco, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The deadly accident was reported at about 11:44 p.m. Monday, January 7 on eastbound Interstate Highway 80 on the incline of the Bay Bridge near the Bryant Street on-ramp to the freeway.
The CHP said the pedestrian was hit by an unidentified vehicle while they were walking on the eastbound side of the interstate.
The pedestrian died in the accident. The name of the victim has not been disclosed pending identification and notification of family.
The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene and complied with investigators. No arrest was made, according to the CHP.
Further details were not immediately provided. The crash remains under investigation.
