66-Year-Old Man Killed in Highway 79 Collision at Linton Road in San Diego County

San Diego County, California (January 2, 2019) – According to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office, a 66-year-old Descanso man died in a two-vehicle collision that happened last week near Warner Springs in San Diego County.
The fatal crash occurred at about 8:42 p.m. on December 28 on Highway 79 at Linton Road.
As per the report, the man was traveling on the highway when, for unknown reasons, he collided with another vehicle.
The California Highway Patrol, Cal Fire alongside paramedics, responded to the scene to help the victims.
The paramedics initiated advanced cardiac life support and then airlifted the man to the Emergency Department of Palomar Medical Center. The man was diagnosed with multiple fractures. Unfortunately, he did not recover from his injuries and was pronounced dead at 1:47 a.m. the next day.
CHP is investigating the accident.
