Elderly Woman Seriously Injured in San Diego Pedestrian Accident on G Street near Kettner Boulevard

San Diego, California (May 30, 2021) – An elderly pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver Sunday afternoon in downtown San Diego, according to police.
The major injury pedestrian collision occurred shortly before 3:00 p.m. on G Street near Kettner Boulevard.
Police said an 87-year-old woman was attempting to cross the street when she was hit by a vehicle that was heading eastbound on G Street.
The woman was transported to UCSD hospital and was treated for laceration to the back of her head and a brain bleed.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the scene. The suspect’s vehicle was described as a 2013 to 2015 white Nissan Altima.
Authorities are still searching for the hit-and-run suspect.
