Pedestrian Injured in El Cajon Hit-and-Run Crash on Ann Street

San Diego, California (January 11, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run accident early Friday morning in El Cajon, police said.
At around 6:00 a.m., the officers received a report regarding a pedestrian accident in the 500 block of Ann Street.
Witnesses told police that the accident happened after an alleged argument between the pedestrian and a man in a black SUV. The SUV began pursuing the pedestrian down the street and hit the person, dragging him hundreds of feet before he fell off in the front yard of a home.
The driver of the SUV did not stop to render aid to the injured man and fled the scene.
Paramedics responded to the scene and took the pedestrian to Sharp Memorial Hospital in unknown condition.
The officers are searching for the suspect driver of the SUV.
An investigation into the crash remains under investigation.
