Woman Dies in San Bernardino Mountains Paragliding Accident near Playground and Summit Drives

San Bernardino Mountains, California (January 6, 2019) – A woman was killed in a fatal paragliding accident on Friday evening in the San Bernardino Mountains near Crestline, according to the deputies.
The incident was reported at about 5:14 p.m. January 4 near Playground and Summit drives.
Deputies said the woman had just taken off near the Crestline Hang Glider and Paraglider Launch when she crashed into mountainside.
The emergency crews responded to the incident and found that the victim had succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The victim’s identity was not immediately released.
The authorities are investigating to find out the cause of the incident.
