Rhodora Bachillar Fatal Bicycle Crash on Willow Street and Golden Avenue in Long Beach
Rhodora Bachillar ID’d as Woman Killed in Wrigley Bicycle Accident on Willow Street and Golden Avenue

Long Beach, California (January 6, 2019) – The woman who was killed when her bicycle was involved in a collision with a vehicle on Thursday night in the Wrigley neighborhood has been identified by the coroner’s office.
Rhodora Roldan Bachillar, 64, of Long Beach, died in the crash that happened at about 6 p.m. January 3 on Willow Street and Golden Avenue.
Police said a 50-year-old man from Long Beach was driving a 1993 Ford Explorer westbound on Willow Street when he entered the intersection and struck Bachillar as she was crossing northbound on Golden Avenue.
Bachillar was rushed to a hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The driver of the Ford remained at the scene and reportedly cooperated with the investigators.
Police said alcohol and drugs were unlikely factors in the crash.
The incident is under investigation.
