Sacramento, Californian (August 27, 2019) – Minor injuries were sustained after a multi-vehicle collision on Monday afternoon in the area of Sacramento, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.

The crash happened at around 1:17 p.m. Monday, August 26, on southbound Highway 99, just south of Elkhorn Boulevard.

As per the report, four vehicles crashed for reasons still under investigation.

An ambulance was dispatched to the scene to attend to the injured parties. The number of patients and their current condition was not immediately released.

Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.

Authorities blocked all lanes following the collision.
