Man Dies in Chula Vista Pedestrian Accident on Telegraph Canyon Road Saturday
Chula Vista, California (August 27, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Saturday night in Chula Vista, police said.
The fatal pedestrian accident happened at around 8:30 p.m. Saturday, August 24 in the 600 block of Telegraph Canyon Road.
According to the police, the pedestrian, a man in his 40s, was crossing the street outside a designated crosswalk when a four-door sedan struck him.

The pedestrian was taken to a hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The name of the victim has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
The driver of the vehicle involved stopped at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement officers. Alcohol or drugs were not considered factors in the accident.
