Ruben Martinez ID’d as Man Killed in Drum Canyon Crash on Highway 246 at Domingos Road
Drum Canyon, California (January 15, 2021) – Authorities have identified the man who died in a single-vehicle rollover crash Thursday night in the Drum Canyon area as Ruben C. Martinez, 58, of Lompoc.
The deadly crash happened at about 7:20 p.m. Thursday, January 14, on Highway 246 near the intersection of Domingos Road.
Authorities said Martinez was driving eastbound on Highway 246 when, for unknown reasons, his vehicle crashed on the highway and overturned onto its side.

Martinez was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. He was the sole occupant of the car at the time of the accident, authorities said.
It was not immediately clear whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
