Redwood City, California (January 6, 2019) – Authorities are investigating a traffic accident that occurred Saturday afternoon in Redwood City leaving at least one person with minor injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision happened at around 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5 in the area of Highway 101 and Oregon Expressway on-ramp.

The CHP said for unknown reasons a motorcycle collided with a white Chevrolet or Ford pickup truck on the southbound lanes of the highway.

Paramedics responded to the scene and rendered aid to the parties involved. At least one person sustained minor injuries as a result of the accident.

It was immediately unclear if the motorcyclist was the injured victim in the crash.

Further details were not immediately available, and the crash remains under investigation.
