Rider Killed in Redding Motorcycle Accident at Eureka Way and Sunset Drive

Redding, California (December 21, 2020) – A motorcyclist was killed Sunday night in a traffic accident at an intersection in Redding, according to a local news source.
Shortly before 7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 20, the authorities received a report about the accident at the intersection of Eureka Way and Sunset Drive.
According to the authorities, a 2016 Yamaha motorcycle collided head-on with a 2007 Audi at the Redding intersection.
Deadly Motorcycle Accident in Redding
The motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet, died in the crash. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family.
The Audi driver was not injured and stopped at the scene to cooperate with the police. Authorities determined the driver of the Audi was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the accident.
It is still unclear whether intoxication played a role on the motorcyclist’s part.
Eureka Way was blocked for several hours as the investigation and cleanup took place.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
