Ramona, CA: Bicyclist Struck, Injured by Vehicle on State Route 67
Person Seriously Injured in Ramona Bicycle Accident on State Route 67 near Dye Street
Ramona, California (October 2, 2019) – A bicyclist was struck and seriously injured by a vehicle in an alleged hit-and-run accident Wednesday morning in Ramona, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported at around 6:15 a.m. on state Route 67 near Dye Street.
The CHP said the bicyclist was hit by a vehicle on state Route 67.
The bicyclist sustained major injuries and was airlifted to a local hospital. However, at this time, the name and condition of the victim remained undisclosed.
The driver of the vehicle involved did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. The suspect’s vehicle was described as a Ford SUV.
Further details were not immediately provided, and the crash remains under investigation.
