32-Year-Old Amanda Clark Among 4 Injured in Fatal Tulare County Car Accident on Highway 198 at Road 248

Tulare County, California (October 2, 2019) – Amanda Clark, 32, was seriously injured in a suspected DUI fatal collision on Sunday evening in Tulare County, according to a local news source.
The deadly crash took place shortly after 5:00 p.m. September 29, on Highway 198 at Road 248, just northeast of Lemon Cove.
The CHP said Joshua Scott Young, 37, was driving a 2001 Mercedes C200 sedan westbound on Highway 198 when he tried to pass slower traffic on the two-lane highway and collided head-on with an eastbound 2011 GMC Yukon driven by Clark.
Amanda Clark Seriously Hurt in Tulare County Fatal Crash
Clark sustained major injuries and was airlifted to Kaweah Delta Medical Center. Her two passengers were hospitalized with minor injuries.
A 61-year-old man who was riding as a passenger in the Mercedes was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the victim has not been disclosed pending notification of family or next of kin.
Young was arrested and booked into the Tulare County jail on DUI charges.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
