Gustine, CA: Fatal 2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 140
At Least 1 Killed in Gustine Car Accident on Highway 140 at Old Santa Fe Grade
Gustine, California (October 2, 2019) – At least one person was killed Wednesday morning in a traffic accident involving two vehicles in Gustine, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly crash happened at around 7:02 a.m. on State Route 140 at Old Santa Fe Grade. State Route 140 is also known as Central Yosemite Highway 140.
The CHP said a pickup truck collided head-on with another vehicle of unspecified type and built. As a result of the collision, the pickup slammed into an embankment and the other vehicle caught fire.
At least one person whose name has not been disclosed was declared dead at the scene.
No other injuries were immediately reported.
The crash remains under investigation by the CHP.
