Raenaldo Abundiz ID’d as Man Killed in Morgan Hill Pedestrian Accident at Monterey Road and East Middle Avenue

Morgan Hill, California (December 13, 2020) – Raenaldo Abundiz, 41, has been identified as the man who was struck and killed by two hit-and-run drivers on Thursday evening in Morgan Hill, according to the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office.
The deadly pedestrian accident occurred at about 5:35 p.m. on December 10, at Monterey Road and East Middle Avenue.
According to the police, Abundiz was trying to cross Monterey Road near the 76 gas station when a red compact car struck him. The compact car was traveling southbound on Monterey Road at the time.
As a result of the collision, Abundiz reportedly fell to the ground and was hit by a light-colored Toyota pickup truck.

Sadly, Abundiz was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both drivers fled the scene and are being sought by the police.
Traffic on all Monterey Road lanes was stopped for several hours for the investigation.
