1 Person Dies after Fresno Pedestrian Crash on Highway 99 near Fresno Street
Fresno, California (January 9, 2021) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver on Saturday morning in Fresno, authorities said.
The deadly pedestrian accident happened at about 1:32 a.m. on Highway 99 near Fresno Street.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was walking near Fresno Street off-ramp from northbound Highway 99 when a vehicle struck them.
First responders arrived at the scene and found the pedestrian lying on the right shoulder of the highway.

Sadly, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The involved driver fled the scene and is being sought by the police.
It was not clear if drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.
