Palmdale, California (July 8, 2021) A rider was hospitalized following an alleged hit-and-run collision that occurred Tuesday night in Palmdale, a local news source said.

The motorcycle crash happened on the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway, just south of Avenue S, at around 9:50 p.m.

As per the report, a motorcyclist was struck by a black Honda Accord whose driver fled the scene after the collision.

The crash reportedly took place in the northbound lanes of the interstate.

Palmdale Hit-and-run Crash

The rider sustained leg injuries and was rushed to a local hospital after the accident for treatment.

Meanwhile, the collision resulted in the closure of the highway until 10:42 p.m.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
