Woman Killed in Oxnard Car Crash at C Street and 8th Street
Oxnard, California (February 10, 2021) – A woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision at an intersection in Oxnard Thursday last week.
On February 4, at about 9:42 p.m., officials received a report of a crash involving two vehicles at 8th Street and C Street.
The accident involved a 2005 Ford Focus was heading northbound on C Street, and a 2002 GMC Envoy operated by a 30-year-old Port Hueneme woman westbound on Eighth Street.
The GMC reportedly entered the intersection and broadsided the Ford.
Due to the impact, both cars came to a stop next to the sidewalk at the northwest corner of the intersection.

Both drivers were rushed to Ventura County Medical Center, where the Ford driver died at around 11:30 a.m. while undergoing treatment of blunt-force head and neck injuries.
The Port Hueneme female operator was treated for serious injuries but was listed in a stable condition.
The Oxnard Police Department reported is investigating the cause of the accident.
