Good Samaritan Killed in Fresno Car Crash on Highway 99 near Manning Avenue

Fresno, California (February 10, 2021) – A Good Samaritan died after being struck by a vehicle after she stopped to help a person who was hurt in a collision in Fresno on Wednesday morning.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on northbound Highway 99 near Manning Avenue, between Fowler and Selma.
A white Hyundai is reported to have crashed into a big rig in unclear circumstances. The driver of the Hyundai, who was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained major injuries in the accident.
A female driver of another vehicle pulled over at the scene to render aid to the injured victim and was hit by a passing SUV.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Hyundai was taken to Community Regional Medical Center.
The SUV driver fled the scene after the accident and was yet to be located.
The vehicle was described as red or burgundy with possible damage.
