Napa, California (August 7, 2020) – A pedestrian accident that took place in Napa, Thursday afternoon, resulted in the death of a 2-year-old kid.

At about 3:00 p.m. on August 6, authorities responded to the deadly pedestrian accident on Buhman Avenue at Browns Valley School.

The child was hit by a vehicle traveling northbound while entering the roadway in the evening hours.

The initial report indicated that the child and their mother were visiting Buhman Park across the street from Browns Valley School at the collision time.

The operator of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the law.

Fatal Napa Pedestrian Crash on Buhman Avenue Thursday Afternoon

The pedestrian died at Queen of the Valley Medical Center while undergoing treatment for serious injuries sustained in the wreck. Pending notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.

Limited details regarding the crash were released at the time of the report.

The mishap resulted in the closure of Buhman at Browns Valley Road and at Meadowbrook Drive for three hours as police and emergency crews worked to investigate and clear the scene.
