Alexander Orellana Injured in Fatal Moreno Valley Crash on Gilman Springs Road and Big Nash Road
Moreno Valley, California (May 21, 2019) – A 39-year-old man was seriously injured in a fatal head-on collision that left a 48-year-old Moreno Valley woman dead on Monday morning in Moreno Valley, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The crash was reported at around 7:25 a.m. Monday, May 20, on Gilman Springs Road at Big Nash Road.
As per the CHP, Alexander Orellana, 39, was driving a 2015 Dodge Charger westbound on Gilman Springs Road when, for unknown reasons, he crossed the double yellow lines and collided head-on with an eastbound 2009 Volvo S40. One of the vehicles was pushed down the embankment by the crash.

Orellana was extricated from the wreckage and transported to Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley with serious injuries.
The driver of the Volvo, a 40-year-old Moreno Valley woman, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash remained under investigation.
