Merced Accident near 15th and 16th Streets Kills Female Party
Merced, California (February 22, 2021) – A pedestrian accident that took place Sunday morning at an intersection in Merced resulted in the death of a female party.
The deadly crash, involving a pedestrian and a train, took place at 15th and 16th streets at approximately 10 a.m.
As per the Merced Police Department report, a woman was hit by a train while standing on the train tracks holding binoculars.
The initial report showed that the train’s conductor sounded the horns several times, but the pedestrian did not move from the tracks.
Fatal Merced Pedestrian Accident Sunday Morning
Sadly, the woman died in the accident.
The detectives handling the case are gathering more evidence to determine the cause of the mishap.
