Maria Cruz Killed in Tulare Pedestrian Crash near Bardsley Avenue and P Street
Tulare, California (December 10, 2019) – Maria De La Cruz, 71, of Porterville was fatally struck by a vehicle on Sunday evening in Tulare, according to the Tulare Police Department.
The crash took place at about 5 p.m. December 8, near Bardsley Avenue and P Street.
According to police, Cruz was struck by a vehicle traveling behind the Tulare County Fairground. The vehicle was being operated by a 26-year-old man.

Cruz was transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the involved vehicle stayed at the scene cooperated with the investigators.
Police said speed, alcohol, and drugs were not suspected to be factors in the crash.
The Tulare Police Department is investigating the crash.
