Kyi Thomas Injured in Jamestown Car Crash on Highway 49 at 5th Avenue

Jamestown, California (December 10, 219) – Kyi Thomas, 26, of Sacramento was among three people hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash that occurred in Jamestown on Saturday evening, according to a local news source.
The crash happened just after 6 p.m. December 7, on Highway 49 at 5th Avenue.
Authorities said George Hernandez-Mejia, 27, of Pittsburg was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Express van southbound on Highway 49 when he stopped for a red light at the 5th Avenue intersection.
Shortly after, a 1990 Nissan Pathfinder failed to stop and crashed into the back of the stopped van. The Pathfinder then left the roadway and went down an embankment.
Kyi Thomas Injured in Jamestown Car Collision
Thomas was among the two passengers in the van. The two were transported to Adventist Health Sonora with minor injuries.
The driver of the Pathfinder was also hospitalized with minor injuries at Adventist Health. He was then arrested and booked into Tuolumne County Jail on suspicion of DUI.
The crash is under investigation.
