Man Killed after Tractor-Trailer Hits Car on Lincoln Road in Fowler
Man Killed in Fowler Crash at E Lincoln Road and S Temperance Avenue
Fowler, California (November 25, 2020) – A man was killed when a tractor-trailer crashed into a car Wednesday evening near Fowler in Fresno County, according to a local news source.
The deadly crash occurred at around 6:00 p.m. at the intersection of E Lincoln Road and S Temperance Avenue, the California Highway Patrol reported.
According to the CHP, the man was driving his white Ford Fusion westbound on Lincoln Road towards Temperance Avenue when a tractor-trailer pulled into the intersection from northbound Temperance Avenue.
The big rig reportedly entered the path of the Ford Fusion, and both vehicles collided. As a result of the crash, the Ford Fusion became wedged underneath the trailer.
Authorities said westbound and eastbound traffic on Lincoln Road don’t have a stop sign at the intersection.
Deadly Big Rig Accident on Lincoln Road
The driver of the Ford Fusion was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
The operator of the big rig stopped at the scene and cooperated with the police. Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the collision.
The CHP is investigating the crash.
