Man Killed in Crash on Big Pines Highway in Valyermo
29-Year-Old Man Killed in Valyermo Crash on Big Pines Highway near Largo Vista Road
Valyermo, California (April 20, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Monday evening traffic accident near the unincorporated Valyermo area of Los Angeles County.
The deadly accident occurred at about 7:35 p.m., on April 19, on Big Pines Highway, west of Largo Vista Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the male driver made an unsafe turn, drifted onto the right shoulder and then veered to the left across the eastbound lane.
The vehicle then went through a barbed-wire fence and overturned down an embankment.
Sadly, the male driver, who was ejected from the vehicle, sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
A passenger in the vehicle sustained minor injuries and was airlifted to a hospital.
It was not clear if drugs or alcohol played in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
