Woman Injured in San Diego Bicycle Crash on Ingraham Street near Fortuna Avenue in San Diego
San Diego, California (April 20, 2021) – A bicyclist was injured after being struck by a vehicle in San Diego on Monday night.
According to a report by San Diego police, the accident happened at about 10:20 p.m. April 19, on Ingraham Street near Fortuna Avenue.
A 39-year-old woman was riding a bicycle southbound on Ingraham Street when she was struck from behind by a dark, four-door SUV.
The impact ejected the woman from her bicycle onto the roadway.
The unidentified woman suffered life-threatening injuries, including a fractured skull and a “major brain bleed” and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The motorist did not stop at the scene and was yet to be located. The suspect was last spotted heading southbound on Ingraham Street.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The CHP is investigating the accident.
